Metcash Distribution Centre, South Australia

Blue Squared were thrilled to work with our client Ahrens Group to provide industrial ventilation for Metcash’s new ‘best in class’ distribution centre in Gepps Cross, South Australia.

The 70,000 m² distribution centre services independent food and liquor retailers across the state. The ‘best-in-class’ centre features a 14,850 square metre temperature-controlled freezer facility, 2,400 square metre battery charging area, 46,000 square metre ambient warehouse as well as regional and head office facilities, amenities, plant room and services.

The distribution centre is the size of three Aussie Football ovals!

The fit-for-purpose design also features a number of environmentally conscious elements to achieve a 5-star Green star rating.

Blue Squared provided Metcash’s industrial ventilation requirements by providing a 363 linear metre, 900 mm throat BS-RVH high capacity Ridge Vent.
